What is Papoose Club?

Papoose Club is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports youth-oriented groups in the Wood River Valley through fundraising activities and community events. Everyone is welcome! The club was founded in 1954 by a group of local moms and was formally incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1975.

What is the purpose of the Club?

Essentially, Papoose Club provides important financial support to local organizations that serve children. We make it possible for kids of the Wood River Valley to grow up with access to a wide variety of activities. The Club’s mission is to support cultural, social educational and athletic activities for the children in the Wood River Valley.

What types of organizations receive funds from the Club?

Any 501(c) organization (non-profit) is eligible to receive funds from Papoose Club. Recent recipients include:
 

Alturas Elementary PTA, WRHS Business Professionals of America, Girls on the Run of the Wood River Valley, Prom 911, Rotarun Ski Area, Sawtooth Botanical Garden: Bug Zoo, St. Thomas Playhouse, SV Center/Company of Fools, Syringa Mountain School, The Community Children’s Library, The Hunger Coalition, The Spot, WRHS Drama Department, WRHS PTSA/ Senior Bash, WRMS Outdoor Adventure, WR Club Volley Ball, WR Land Trust Student Conservation Council, WRHS Model United Nations, WRMS PTA Student Enrichment Fund.
